Funeral escort for US Navy E-3 Peterson Taliman

ST. MICHAELS, AZ – The family of US Navy E-3 Peterson Taliman is
humbly requesting a funeral escort on Thursday August 12, 2021.

Staging: 9:30am at Summit Mortuary St. Michaels, Az
KSU: 10:00am
Destination: Graveside service at Ft. Defiance Veterans Cemetery

US Navy Seaman (E-3) served honorably in the United States Navy from September 4, 1968 to August 4, 1972. Taliman served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from active duty. From 1972 to 1974, he continued serving in the Naval Reserve ManPower Center, Bainbridge, Maryland.

Seaman Taliman received the National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal and The Vietnam Campaign Medal. After leaving the Navy, he enrolled in a Trade School, in Oklahoma, to become a carpenter. He then worked for the Navajo Tribe Water and Sanitation Department and then the Parks and Recreation Department
in which he retired.

Peterson Taliman,73 was Ta’chi’nii born for Tse’ji’kinii, was from Navajo Station born August 25, 1947. His date of death was on August 4, 2021. He is preceded in death by his Father Isaac Taliman, his Mother Mary R. Brown and Sisters Marilyn Taliman, Donna Shirley, Garnet Smith, Alberta Yazzie, Lois Todachenie, and brothers Freddy and Cato Taliman. He is survived by Sisters Mary Ann Arnold, Rena and Marie Taliman.
