Funeral escort for US Army SGT Roland Kent Yazzie

ST. MICHAELS, AZ – The family of US Army SGT Roland Kent Yazzie is humbly requesting a funeral escort on Thursday August 12, 2021.

Staging: 6:30am at Summit Funeral Home, St. Michaels, Az
KSU: 7:00am
Destination: Family will meet at Forest Lake Chapter House and follow procession to burial plot. 10am Graveside service at family burial plot. (Riders, last 8-10 miles will be dirt road after chapter house, bikes will stop at chapter house & salute the veteran as Hearst continues)
Route: (115miles) St. Michaels, Pinon, Forest Lake Chapter, family burial plot northeast of Forest Lake Chapter (nearest gas station Pinon, Az)

US Army SGT Roland Kent Yazzie was born on May 12, 1969 in Keams Canyon, Az. He was Bitter Water Clan and born for Coyote Pass Clan. His mother is Alice Rose Yazzie and his father Kenneth Yazzie. He served in the US Army Reserve from April 1996 to May 2004. He received the Army reserves components achievement medal, national defense service medal, armed forces expeditionary medal, army services ribbon, driver and mechanic badge. He is survived by his children Teo Yazzie, Teri Yazzie, Donovan Kent Yazzie, Tia Yazzie and Sunnirose Yazzie, and his grandchildren Tahlon Honanie, Andrianna Navakuku, and Kaitlyn Navakuku. He was prideful in serving his country and we thank him for his service.
