The family of our hero is humbly requesting for an escort on Saturday from Summit Funeral home to Chinle and to Lukachukai Community Cemetery.

Destination: 0900 – Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Chinle, Az.
Viewing at 0900 and funeral service begins at 1000, Fatima Catholic Church in Chinle and the burial will be at Lukachukai Community Cemetery immediately following the service, honor escort will continue from church to cemetery, weather permitting.
Sgt. Frank Shirley was born 2/19/1946 in Chinle, Az. He joined the US Army in October of 1969, where he was deployed to Vietnam. Shirley remained in combat and was shot in the line of duty. Shirley was discharged January 1975 and he received the purple heart and bronze star medal, along with other awards. He was active with the Lukachukai Veterans Association up until his death. Shirley leaves behind a wife, two daughters, and five grandchildren.
