Funeral escort for USMC SSGT Jefferson Lee Yazzie

ST. MICHAELS, AZ – The family of USMC SSGT Jefferson Lee Yazzie is requesting a funeral escort on Friday January 22, 2021.

STAGING: 7:30am Summit Funeral Home, St. Michaels, Az
KSU: 8:00 am
DESTINATION: Dilcon Community Cemetary
ROUTE: west on HWY 264 to Burnside, south on Rte 15 to Indian Wells, west to Dilcon, south onto Hwy 60 towards Dilcon Community School, turn right towards the back of the school until arriving at Dilcon Community Cemetary.

Gravesite service will be conducted for immediate family only. Thereafter, visitors may pay their respect immediately following services will be conducted in accordance with CDC and Navajo Nation Covid-19 guidelines to protect friends and family. Thank you for understanding and cooperating.

In 2001, USMC Ssgt Jefferson Lee Yazzie enlisted in the Marine Corp and was honorable discharge in 2011. He served his time as an Automotive Organizational Mechanic for 7 years and Motor Transport Maintenance Chief for the remainder of his service. He served three tours during Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom in 2003, 2005 and 2007.

He was and will always be loved by his children, family and friends. He will truly be missed by those who knew him and loved him.

Viewing services will be held for immediate family only and to be followed by burial services on January 22, 2021 @ 10am. He will be escorted by Navajo Hopi Honor Riders to his final resting place among his paternal grandparents, father, brothers, aunts and uncles at Dilcon Community Cemetary. For the protection of his children and family, burial services will also be for immediate family only. Friends and other relatives may pay their respects during his escort towards the gravesite.
