TUBA CITY, AZ – The family of USMC CPL Donovan Crank is requesting a funeral escort on Wednesday August 26, 2020 from Tuba City, Az to Moenave.
STAGING: 8:30am Valley Ridge Mortuary, 123 Moenave Rd, Tuba City, Az.
KSU: 9:00am
DESTINATION: Family plot at Moenave (see map attached)
ROUTE: East on Moenave Rd, south on Main St, west on Hwy 160 to Dinosaur Tracks Road, where pavement ends.
Gravesite services will be conducted. Immediate family only. Thereafter, visitors may pay their respect immediately following services will be conducted in accordance with CDC and Navajo Nation Covid-19 guidelines to protect friends and family. Thank you for understanding and cooperating.
USMC CPL Donovan Crank was born on August 22, 1986, at the local Tuba City hospital. He was the third child of Darrel and Narlis Crank. Every chance he had, he would come home to Moenave, Az. He attended Tuba City Boarding School from 1991-2000 and Tuba City High School from 2000-2004. He then decided to enlist into the United States Marine Corps after graduation in 2004. He is survived by his son Liam; three brothers, Derrick, Darren and Deion. While in the Marine Corps he was deployed overseas multiple times. He earned: Iraq Campaign Medal, Global on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2nd award), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3rd award), Letter of Appreciation (5th award) Meritorious Mast, Rifle Qualification Badge (expert, 4th award). He served in USMC from 2004-2010.
