GALLUP, NM – The family of veteran USMC PFC Roy Begay Jr. is humbly requesting a funeral escort on August 4, 2020 Tuesday from Gallup, NM to Chambers, AZ.
STAGING: 8:30 Rollie Mortuary, Gallup, NM
KSU: 9:00am
DESTINATION: 9 miles north of Chambers, Az.
ROUTE: From Gallup head west on I-40 to Chambers, Az, Exit at 333 onto 191 north for 9.5 miles (64 miles, see map attached).
Gravesite service. Immediate family only. Services will be conducted in accordance with CDC and Navajo Nation Covid-19 guidelines to protect all friends and family, thank you for understanding and cooperating.
USMC PFC Roy Begay Jr. was enlisted in the USMC for two years, earning the rifle marksmanship badge, sea service deployment ribbon. He was a son, brother to six, a nephew and an uncle. He also was a Gallup Police Officer 1990/91 to 1992/93. He also was a silversmith for many years. He loved horses, and if he needed something he would call on our sister Bernice, she didn’t hesitate she always was there for him. His brothers: George Lee, Roland Begay and Rudy Begay. His sisters: Bernice, Brenda and Bertha.
