Funeral Escort for Melford Shorty
The family of our hero is humbly requesting for a funeral escort for U.S.M.C Gunnery Sergeant Melford Shorty. Shorty served our Great Nation for 20 years. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1984 and retired in 2004. He served during Operation Enduring Freedom with the Third Battalion, 11th Marines. Melford was a kind, caring man that loved being a family man, He always had a contiguous smile that will be missed by many, a father to three children and two grand daughters. He was a devoted NBA Lakers fan and NFL Minnesota Vikings fan. Cope Memorial in Gallup NM are in charge of funeral arrangements.
