Funeral escort for USMC Sgt Jerry Elwood Sr.

The family of USMC SGT Jerry Elwood Sr is humbly requesting a funeral escort on Monday, June 21, 2021.
Staging: 12:00pm Rollie Mortuary, Gallup, NM

Destination: Gallup Veterans Cemetery
Jerry Elwood Sr. was born in Shiprock, NM on May 19, 1933 and was 88 years old. He passed on June 13, 2021. He was a Korean War Veteran and served proudly as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.
He was Táhnéézáhni (Tangle Clan), born for Tó’aheedlini (Water Flows Together), Kinyaa’áani (Towering House) (maternal grandparents), Tó’díí’ch’iinii (Bitter Water) (paternal grandparents).
He has lived in and raised his family in Standing Rock, NM since 1975.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Elwood. They were married for 53 years.
He has 5 children, Jerome Elwood, Jerry Elwood Jr., Justin Elwood, Julius Elwood and Miranda Elwood.
Jerry Elwood Sr. drive up donations will be at Navajo Nation Route 9, Mile Marker 25 and Standing Rock Chapter turn off from 4pm to 8pm today, Tuesday 06/15/2021, Wednesday 06/16/2021 and Thursday 06/17/2021. Donations are also welcome via Zelle to Miranda Elwood at (970) 234-4619.Food will be served to go at the Gallup Community Service Center. (Across from the Food Pantry.)
