Funeral escort for USMC CPL Donald Mahkewa Jr. on 1/31

PARKER, AZ – The family of USMC CPL Donald Mahkewa Jr. is humbly requesting a funeral escort on Monday January 31, 2022.

DESTINATION: Parker Cemetery, 1314 W 11th St, Parker, Az (see map attached)
CPL Donald Mahkewa Jr. enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri and Honorably discharged in 1971 in MCAS Yuma, Arizona. He is survived by his kids: Leith, Keah, Sabrina, Julian, Starlie and wife, Dawn Navasie. His MOS in the USMC was a Radio Telegraph Operator and completed the following training, Scuba School, Basic Airborne Course, Supporting Arms Oriented and Recondo Course. He was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran and served with the 3rd Force Recon and received the following awards and decorations:
National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/1*, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit citation w/ combat “V”, Good Conduct Medal, RVN Cross of Gallantry w/palm. CPL Donald Mahkewa Jr. passed in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27, 2022 and will be laid to rest at Parker Cemetery in Parker, Arizona on January 31, 2022 services will begin at 7:00 a.m.
