US Navy E3 Darlita Puente (Herrera) served as a deck seamen 1st Division on board USS Santa Barbara AE-28 out of Chaleston,South Carolina.
She received National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Sea Service Deployment ribbon.

She visited Spain,Sicily,Greece, Egypt, Suez Canal, Bahrain,Dubai,Kuwait,
She Sailed The Atlantic Ocean, The Caribbean,The Mediterranean Sea, The Red Sea and The Persian Gulf.
She was a mother of 2 and a loving wife. She grew up in the Grandfalls area.
