Funeral escort for US Army SGT Brian Irvin Yazzie 1/05

PHOENIX, AZ  – The family of US Army SGT Brian Irvin Yazzie is humbly requesting a funeral escort on Wednesday January 5, 2022.

DESTINATION: National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, Az.

US Army SGT Brian Irvin Yazzie was from Window Rock, Arizona. He served three tours over seas including Iraq and Afghanstan, a total of nine years. He was an Infantry Mortar in the Army. He retired last year and moved to Avondale Arizona to continue his education.

US Army SGT Brian Irvin Yazzie is Áshįįhi (Salt People Clan) and born for Tó’aheedlíinii (The Water Flows Together Clan). His maternal grandfather is Bit’ahnii (Folded Arms People Clan) and his paternal grandfather is Honágháahnii (One Walks Around Clan). He was originally from St. Michaels, Az. and lived in Avondale, Az.

Yazzie served in the United States Army, including three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was stationed in Germany before being honorably discharged and retiring from the military. At the time of his passing, he was studying to become an automotive mechanic with the University Technical Institute.
