The family is humbly requesting for the Navajo Hopi Honor Riders for a funeral escort for our National Treasure, Hero, and Navajo Code Talker Samuel T. Holiday, we will be Honored to do so, with invitation to Utah Patriot Guard Riders, & all riding community.
A celebration of Life and Funeral Honor Escort is set for Friday, June 15, 2018 from Hughes Mortuary, St. George, UT.
Honor Escort from St. George Utah to Monument Valley Welcome Center. PLEASE JOIN US AS WE PAY OUR LAST RESPECTS TO ONE OF THE FEW REMAINING.

Services: will begin at 1100, Monument Valley Welcome Center. After services are concluded, Mr. Holiday will be escorted to his final resting place at Kayenta Community Cemetery.

“Samuel T. Holiday was born on June 2nd, 1924. He drew his last breath on June 11th, 2018. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Lupita Mae Holiday and children, Mabel B. Austin & L. Lisa Miller. And grandchildren Rhayannon & Rhaylynn Redhouse,
At 94yrs old he is survived by 6 children. H. Helena Begaii, Herman H. Holiday, Carol Todecheene, Lupita “Baysha” Holiday, Corina S. Holiday-Boxton & Samantha “Serta” Holiday. With 35 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren.
Samuel T. Holiday was born & raised in Monument Valley, Ut to Billy Holiday & Betsy Yellow. After attending boarding school in Tuba City he went on to enlist in the United States Marines where he served in the 4th Marine Division, 25th regiment H and S company. It was here where he became a Navajo Codetalker in World War II.
