GALLUP, NM – The family of ARMY veteran Ernest Benally is humbly requesting a funeral escort on Wednesday September 29, 2021.
STAGING: 10:00am Rollies Mortuary, 401 E Nizhoni Blvd,Gallup NM
KSU: 10:45am
DESTINATION: Gallup State Veterans Cemetery, Gallup, NM
Gravesite service 11am will be conducted for immediate family only. CDC and Navajo Nation Covid-19 guidelines will be practiced to protect friends and family. Thank you for understanding and cooperating.
ARMY veteran Ernest Benally, 74, he served 3 years total, 1.5 yrs here in the States and 1.5 yrs in Vietnam. He was from Rocksprings, NM. He was married to Hilda Benally for 51 yrs. He had 6 children. His clan Tachii’nii born for To Dik’ozhi. He was a welder, worked construction and did carpentry work. He was very active in Veterans Senior Olympics until he became sick. At a young age he participated in Rodeos throughout Utah. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in sports. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
