Lenell grew up on the Navajo Reservation in Hardrock\, Az. She is of the Edgewater clan\, born for Two Waters flowing together clan\, her maternal clan is Rock Gap\, and her paternal clan is Black Streak in the Wood. She was born on 11/7/1983 in Tuba City\, AZ\, and she was in pursuit of her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at ASU. \nHer awards are as follows: Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal\, Iraq Campaign Medal\, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon\, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ “M” Device (2nd AWD). \nLenell is survived by her husband\, George; her children: Jacelyn\, John\, Calais\, Caris\, Khione\, and Jane. Her loved ones will remember her smile\, strength\, calmness\, patience\, toughness and her love of cats. \nAt the age of 19\, Lenell enlisted in the Marines. She valued this service highly and attained the rank of Corporal. He retired last year and moved to Avondale Arizona to continue his education. \nUS Army SGT Brian Irvin Yazzie is Áshįįhi (Salt People Clan) and born for Tó’aheedlíinii (The Water Flows Together Clan). His maternal grandfather is Bit’ahnii (Folded Arms People Clan) and his paternal grandfather is Honágháahnii (One Walks Around Clan). He was originally from St. Michaels\, Az. and lived in Avondale\, Az. \nYazzie served in the United States Army\, including three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. He was stationed in Germany before being honorably discharged and retiring from the military. GOD GRANT ME PEACE IN MY ETERNAL REST” ON BEHALF OF THE NAVAJO HOPI HONOR RIDERS WE REMEMBER THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR OUR FREEDOM\, THEY GAVE THEIR LIVES SO THAT WE AND OTHERS SHALL BE FREE. SGT. \nClifton of Fruitland NM was assigned to the 1st Battalioon\, 327th Infantry Regiment\, 1st Brigade Combat team\, 101st Airborne Division. He was killed on January 20\, 2006 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during patrol operations in Huwijah\, Iraq. Also killed were: Staff Stg. Rickey Scott. Sgt. Dennis J. Flanagan and Spc. Matthew C. Frantz. Rest In Peace. To this date the Navajo Hopi Honor Riders host a yearly Navajo-Hopi Honor Ride to REMEMBER all KIA MIA POW and Veterans from the Navajo and Hopi Reservation which takes place every year in May. where we HONOR\, REMEMBER and SUPPORT to the let the family of our Fallen know that their loved one is NOT FORGOTTEN.

His MOS in the USMC was a Radio Telegraph Operator and completed the following training\, Scuba School\, Basic Airborne Course\, Supporting Arms Oriented and Recondo Course.
