DESCRIPTION:Flagstaff\, Az – The family of US Army PVT Paul Thompson humbly requesting a funeral escort on Thursday\, November 7\, 2024.\n\n\nSTAGING: 11:00am Norvel Owens Mortuary\, Flagstaff\, Az.\nKSU:11:30am\nDESTINATION: Camp Navajo Bellemont\, Az.\n\n\nServices – November 7\, 2024 at 10 AM MST\, Norvel Owens Mortuary\, Flagstaff\, Arizona\nBurial – Camp Navajo\, Bellemont\, AZ\nReception – American Legion at 1:30 PM. 204 W. Birch\, Flagstaff AZ\n\n\nUS Army PVT first class Paul Thompson\, 78 years old was born in Leupp\, Arizona. He attended Albuquerque Indian School. After high school he enlisted into the US Army. He fought for his country during the Vietnam War where he received several medals including the National Defense Medal\, The Vietnam Service Medal and The Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1975. Paul remained quite active in the military community after his discharge. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 112 and the Leupp Veterans Organization. He was always so eager to help with color guards\, parades and casket watch for fellow fallen comrades.\nPaul has two children; Paulina Thompson and the late Chad Thompson. He also has countless grandchildren whom he cherished.\n\n\nServices and reception is open to all who wish to pay their respects.\n\n\nOn behalf of the Navajo Hopi Honor Riders\, we send our condolences and prayers to the family of US Army PVT Paul Thompson.
