West on Butler Ave; on ramp to I-40 West Bound to Bellemont exit. \n\n\n\nUS Army SSGT Oscar Doctor Sr.\, was a Army and Arizona National Guard Veteran who served 15 years. Oscar Doctor Sr.\, of Flagstaff\, Tolani Lake\, and Kayenta\, Az was a hard working\, outgoing\, funny\, humble\, respectful Navajo Veteran.\n\nHe was very community and civic oriented throughout his life of 90 years. Born in Kayenta\, Az he served in the US Army in Bamberg\, Germany as a young man\, returning to Flagstaff to start a family. He worked for numerous years at the Army Depot in Bellemont\, Az as a ammunition handler and as a member of the National Guard. After his time at NAD\, he began a long career as a business agent/laborer for Laborers’ Union Local 383 in Flagstaff\, working on many construction projects and creating lifelong friendships throughout the state. \n\n\n\nOscar retired in the early 1900’s in Tolani Lake\, Az\, where he was actively involved with the local Senior Center and Veterans Communities. His family will always remember his stories and historical knowledge of growing up on the Navajo Nation.\n\n\n\nOn behalf of the Navajo Hopi Honor Riders\, we send our condolences and prayers to the family US Army SSGT Oscar Doctor Sr. Rest in peace.
