DESCRIPTION:TSE BONITO\, NM – The family of US Navy veteran Alfred Dempsey Jr. is humbly requesting a funeral escort on Wednesday July 21\, 2021.\n\n\nSTAGING: 8:30am Silver Creek Funeral Home\, Tse Bonito\, NM\nKSU: 9:00 am\nDESTINATION: Hills Family Cemetery\, Cornfields\, Az\n(Riders will pull off to side when pavement ends)\nROUTE: Hwy 264\, onto Indian Rt 15 for 9 miles to Indian Rt 151\, turn right at windmill to Cornfields\, Az for 2 miles.\n\n\nUS Navy veteran Alfred Dempsey Jr. grew up in the Ganado community\, he worked at the gas station and the Ganado Mission\, after receiving his GED\, he enlisted into the US Navy with the support of his parents and family. His assignment was abroad USS Mullany\, stationed/port at US NAVRECSTA\, San Diego\, CA. He was honorably discharged\, then remained in the reserved until 1963. Dempsey’s time in the Navy took him around the world twice and spent the majority of the time in the South Pacific.\n“My dad’s adventurous spirit and pride serving his country inspired me to do the same in the US Air Force. I learned from him that hard work\, honesty\, and being good to others are characteristics that helped me tremendously in life. We didn’t have the ideal father-daughter relationship but “Thank You” Dad for having a shoulder to cry on and encouraging me to do better when I needed it most.
