DESCRIPTION:US Army SPC4 Frank Hardy Sr\nTSE BONITO\, NM – The family of US Army SPC4 Frank Hardy Sr. is requesting a funeral escort on Wednesday February 17\, 2021. \nSTAGING: 8:30am Silver Creek Mortuary\, Tse Bonito\, NM\nKSU: 9:00 am\nDESTINATION: Ganado Community Cemetery\, Ganado\, Az.\nROUTE: west on Hwy 264 to Hwy 191 \nGravesite service at 10am\, will be conducted for immediate family only. Thereafter\, visitors may pay their respect immediately following services will be conducted in accordance with CDC and Navajo Nation Covid-19 guidelines to protect friends and family. Thank you for understanding and cooperating. \nUS Army SPC4 Frank Hardy Sr. was born in Keams Canyon\, Arizona on September 20\, 1945. The son of the late Margaret Anderson and Howard Hardy Sr. He was preceded in death by an older sister\, a younger sister and brother. He was the oldest of his siblings. He is survived by his wife Beverly Hardy of 52 years and 3 sons\, Joseph\, Frank Jr. and Hamilton and 6 daughters\, Sharon\, Marie\, Esmerelda\, Cassandra\, Cheryl and Mary\, thirty-three grandkids and twenty-two great grandkids\, four brothers and one sister\, many nieces and nephews and countless extended family. \nFrank is from the Tower House Clan (Kinyaa’aanii) and born for Water’s Edge Clan (Tabaahii)\, his maternal grandfather is of the Red-running-into-the-water Clan (Tachiinii) and paternal grandfather is Bitter Water Clan (Todachinii). \nFrank was an Army Veteran served for 2 years active duty and 4 years ready reserve. Frank participated in the Vietnam War as a soldier in the United States Army. When Frank left the military\, He left with the rank of Specialist (E-4) he worked as a firefighter later transitioning to automotive mechanic. He was a member of Ganado Veterans Group. He also showed his patriotism at Gourd Dances. \nFrank worked at a mechanic for Navajo Engineering Authority (NECA)\, Apache County and Chevron Mining (CMI). He retired from CMI.
